Making a Solar Oven Prototype
The sun, at the most basic level makes everything. Like sun tea...
But here is why I decided to make a solar oven prototype:
2/3 of Colorado is currently on fire and temps have been in the 90s and 100s for the last two weeks. I'll admit building this solar oven using the plans from here, conjured up images of making some sort of homemade satellite to contact life on other planets--I'm talking UFOs. I persevered despite the weird looks and eye rolls from my family members and built this "minimum solar box cooker". It's currently heating up outside and I'm going to try to bake in it later today. If this cardboard and plastic (duck tape and popsicle sticks) version works, I'll commit to wood and glass.
